Frequently Asked Question
Do I need a lift with explant?
If the skin has stretched, a lift can restore position and shape. We’ll decide together.
What about “en bloc” removal?
We use oncologic principles to guide this decision. When the capsule is strongly adherent to chest wall structures, we prioritize safety and remove it in a controlled manner.
Is cancer screening affected?
Unaffected; continue routine imaging as recommended by your primary care provider
Will I have loose skin?
A lift and/or fat grafting can address envelope laxity for a refined outcome.
Do you reuse old scars?
Yes, for minimal new marks.
Re-augmentation later?
Possible after healing.
