Brow Lift

(Forehead Lift)

Brighten your expression and open the eye area by gently elevating a heavy or descended brow—tailored to your hairline, anatomy, and goals.

Overview

A brow lift repositions drooping brows and smooths forehead creases, opening the eyes for a more alert, youthful expression. Dr. Slamin selects endoscopic or direct methods based on your needs, focusing on balanced lift and creating your ideal brow shape. In our welcoming Northern Virginia and DC-area practice, enjoy tailored planning and recovery for radiant, enduring results.

Surgical Notes

  • Downtime: ~5–7 days for social recovery (endoscopic); 7–10 days for open techniques
  • Anesthesia: General or IV sedation
  • Setting: Accredited surgery center
  • Incisions/Scars: Endoscopic (small incisions behind hairline), temporal/lateral, or trichophytic at the hairline based on forehead height
  • Results Timeline: Immediate lift; settle and soften over 2–3 months
  • Longevity: 5-10 years

Goals of Brow Lift

  • Reduce brow heaviness and raise hooded brows for wider, more open eyes
  • Enhance upper-eyelid show and balance the upper face
  • Smooth horizontal forehead lines and glabellar frowns
  • Maintain natural, gender-appropriate brow position (avoiding over-elevation in men)

Candidates for a Brow Lift

  • Chronic brow fatigue/heaviness or makeup imprinting on the upper lids
  • Brow position below ideal for age/sex or asymmetry after prior procedures
  • Deep forehead furrows despite skincare
  • Good health and realistic expectations
  • Nonsmoker or committed to an optimized perioperative protocol
